Citadines Michel, Aparthotel Hamburg
Demolition of a multi-storey office building and subsequent new construction of a massive 6-storey hotel with 129 guest rooms and an adjacent underground car park.
The top sixth floor consists of a staggered floor. Access to the individual floors is via two staircases and three elevators.
The main challenge in planning and implementation was to take into account the underlying S-Bahn route. In this respect, a vibration-decoupled pile foundation on only three starting points was necessary.
The aim was to implement the design resulting from a facade competition. The undulating façade was clad with clinker bricks with core insulation; on the upper floor, the clinker brick slips were loosened up by a perforated façade.
