BIOMASS COGENERATION PLANT – ELSTERWERDA
The Elsterwerda biomass cogeneration plant generates electrical energy and district heating for end customers from waste wood.
On the area of the district heating plant, the BMHKW was newly built and comprises, in addition to the silo plant, a boiler house, an attached operating and switchgear building, the machine house including steam turbine, an air condensation plant, a flue gas cleaning system with chimney and a delivery hall.
For scheduling reasons, the lower-lying basement of the adjoining machine house had to be built after completion of the ground level floor slab of the boiler house.
Typical power plant requirements regarding the positional accuracy of the anchoring elements for the plant components further complicated the work.
