BRIDGE OVER THE UCKER
The loosely reinforced single-span frame structure crosses the federal highway B 198, here called Neubrandenburger Straße, over the Ucker.
Due to age, the replacement building became necessary. A special challenge was the demolition of the old building and the installation of the deep foundation as sheet pile foundation. Since this work had to be carried out in such a way that a directly adjacent building was not damaged in any way. After this task had been successfully completed, the building backfill was installed with low vibration and laid in several layers of geogrid so that subsidence was minimized despite the poorly bearing foundation soil.
After the laying of drinking water and sewage pipes as well as power and telephone lines in the sidewalk areas, these were newly manufactured including the lighting system and railings.
