ARIKON auf der Ausbildunsmesse

ARIKON recruits trainees in the shopping centre.

Information and discussions at the training fair at Südring Centre Rangsdorf

Where do companies find trainees these days? ‘The best way is through direct contact and personal conversations,’ says Chantal Schuster, training ambassador for the ARIKON Group, a group of companies operating in the fields of planning, construction and digital solutions. For several years now, the group has been attending training fairs and school events to raise its profile among young people as a strong local player in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. This was also the case on the weekend of 19–20 September 2025 at the training fair in the Südring Center Rangsdorf, Teltow-Fläming district. Over two days, around 40 exhibitors from industry, services and trade took the opportunity to provide information about the content and prospects of a wide variety of apprenticeship professions.

Broad field of education attracts considerable interest

There was a lot of interest in the ARIKON information stand. Training ambassador Chantal Schuster (third from left in the picture above), Uwe Kohlwes, Commercial Director of ARIKON AG, and Tom Prehm (in the picture above, 1st from left), who is completing a dual degree in civil engineering at ARIKON, answered questions about the wide range of training opportunities at ARIKON in numerous personal conversations. These include commercial training as an industrial clerk and technical training as a construction machine operator, roofer, road builder, civil engineer, and bricklayer. ARIKON also offers students the opportunity to complete a dual degree program in civil engineering (all m | f | d).

Chantal Schuster draws a positive conclusion after the training fair: “First and foremost, we want to introduce ARIKON and its career opportunities and engage in conversation with young people. For many, this is the first hurdle they have to overcome in their search for a training position. Since I myself completed training at ARIKON, I am naturally familiar with their concerns and questions from my own experience. This is very helpful in establishing a good rapport with young people.”

Taster days and internships are very popular

The offer to complete a taster day, taster week, or internship at ARIKON was particularly well received by the young people. “Demand for taster days or internships is always high after a training fair,” says Chantal Schuster happily. “For us, it's a chance to stay in touch with young people. And this time, we even received a direct application for a roofing apprenticeship!”

For those who wanted to find out more at their leisure, flyers were available with a QR code linking to the ARIKON training page, where all training areas are described briefly and clearly.
An information offer that was taken up by many young people over the weekend. Uwe Kohlwes: “The number of visitors to our training website was exceptionally high this weekend. We are delighted that our training opportunities are clearly generating so much interest.”

On October 5, 2025, ARIKON will be at the career fair in Teltow.

Preparations for the next training fair are already in full swing. On October 5, 2025, the ARIKON team will be present at the career fair in Teltow.
